TEXAS A&M GENOME SYMPOSIUM

WELCOME

About Us

The great potential of genome editing technologies is being explored at an accelerating rate with advances published daily in the field. As such, Texas A&M University’s Genome Editing Symposium began in 2018 as an annual event inspired by this rapidly evolving field and the need to bring scientists together to discuss their latest discoveries. We are entirely graduate student-run and pridefully host a single-day research symposium featuring guest speakers and travel scholars from institutions across the U.S. as well as lightning talks and poster competitions from our very own A&M graduate students. We have hosted distinguished faculty and industry leaders in this growing field, and we also facilitate networking opportunities for graduate students. Curious and interested individuals are highly encouraged to register for our symposium to learn what the buzz in genome editing is all about!

Our mission

Our mission is to bring together researchers to share and discover the new frontiers of genome editing across the life sciences. We are committed to our mission that participants, whether speakers or attendees, leave our symposium with new insights and inspiration for their own scientific pursuits and we strive to provide a unique and fulfilling experience for our speakers and attendees.

We hope to see you at this year’s Genome Editing Symposium!

We are proud to announce the upcoming 2023 TAMU Gene Editing Symposium will be held in-person on October 12th in College Station, TX.
